What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Trinessa Pills?

I am currently on birth control, Trinessa, and I was told by my doctor that if I don t take the last 7 pills (the fake ones) I wouldn t get my period. I tried that and it worked last month. Toward the end of my next birth control pack i got my period and it has lasted almost 2 weeks. I am not sure what to do! This has happened before and I switched birth control but I am not sure if that is what I ll need to do now.

Hi,Welcome to the HCM
Brief answer..Birth control pills can cause irregular periods.
Detailed answer...Birth control pills contains synthetic hormones which can cause irregular bleeding, headache, abdominal pain, nausea etc.
For a while you may use condom to avoid pregnancy,if you still continue to get irregular bleeding ,you may get ultrasound abdomen done and discuss with your gynaecologist.
do ask further if any question?
