What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Regestrone Dose?

Hi, I want to prepone my period before 1st october as I will be out of station from 1st October.My normal period start date is from 1 st of every month and it lasts to 4-5 days.sometimes it delays for 2-4 days.My last period date was from 5th step to 8 the step.can you suggest from which day I should start taking regestrone dose and for how many days I have to continue this.Please also tell how many tablets I should take per day. thank you in advance.

Hi,
Registrone is a hormonal contraceptive ,taken cyclically for contraception/ it can also be used for regularizing irregular periods /can be used for postponing menses.
-For postponing the periods start 1 tablet three times ( 8 hourly) a day , 3 days prior to the expected date of period -to be continued till you want the period to be delayed.Maximum pills taken should be 20.
- side effects are -
-nausea,vomitting( can be avoided by taking anti emetic pill like Perinorm once a day after food),
- the following period may be heavier than normal.
- IT SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN WHILE TRYING FOR CONCEPTION- it is hazardous for baby.
