What Are The Treatments For Hiccups, Vomiting And Diarrhea?
my husband has been sick for days, we went to doctor yesterday but last night he began to hiccup deeply and hard we have tried peanut butter but to no avail. he is taking cipero anti-biotics and has continued to vomit and diarreah all last night and today...what can I do?
The symptoms as mentioned in your post is attributed to either infection or inflammation in the Gastrointestinal tract.
Management involves: 1. Tablet Pantoprazole + Domperidone twice daily (to be taken half an hour before food) 2. Anti spasmodics like Dicyclomine preparation twice daily (to be taken after food). 3. Oral Rehydration Solution (O.R.S) for maintaining the hydration status & electrolyte balance of the body. 4. Take soft, plain, non-spicy foods. 5. Avoid fast foods & gas producing food products like cabbage, etc.
Investigations like complete blood count, estimation of serum electrolytes & Ultrasound scan of abdomen & Pelvis will be helpful in detecting any pathological cause for the symptoms.
There is no need to worry, he will be fine. Wishing a good health. Take care.
