What Are The Symptoms Of Shingles?

how can I tell if I have shingles? I am 75 yr old and had shingles in 2011 in the waist area. 2017 started as three red spots in a line at the neck/shoulder almost in a straight line down to upper chest. at first I thought I had 3 spider bites. it has spread like an intense red itchy rash covering the back of the neck at hair line continuing around to front of neck and shoulder on right side. Thank you for your help!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned you will get following symptoms like this in one side of your body -

1)Pain, burning, numbness or tingling
2)Sensitivity to touch
3)A red rash that begins a few days after the pain
4)Fluid-filled blisters that break open and crust over
5)Itching

So get it confirmed by your Doctor and if confirmed then he will prescribe a course of antiviral like [Acyclovir]

Hope that helps
