What Are The Symptoms Of Partial Cyst?

Hello, I had a partial hyst about nine years ago. About a week ago I started feeling like I had strained my lower stomach muscles, though I did nothing to feel that way. Over the weekend, the pain in my left lower stomach has gotten worse. We live in the middle of nowhere, so my OBGYN is 3.5 hours away. Until I can get to her, any ideas ??! It s hurts to stand, sit, cough, etc......

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As you had ovarian cyst previously you have to rule out any present increase in the size of the cyst leading to torsion or rupture. But now as your gynecologist is far away you can go for antispasmodic drugs to decrease the pain like mefenamic acid and better to reach your gynecologist as early as possible, get examined and go for ultrasound once, which will help in finding the possible cause of the problem and treatment can be taken accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
