Hello doctors, my mother is 64 yrs old and has a history of diabetes mellitus for 20 yrs. Presently, she is suffering from cerebral atrophy in brain stem. She has gait and speech problem. She is unable to walk without any support. Earlier she had shaking problem of hands which is absent now. We have consulted neurologist and proper physiotherapist. Treatment is contuing for last 1 year. My question is since she is suffering tremendously from depression, is it causing more harm to the existing problem. To overcome this situation what we should do?
