What Are The Symptoms Of Bacterial Gastroenteritis?
have intestinal bacteria hospital said it needs to run its course I cannot keep anything in me without a help of imodium and kaopectate in over 6 weeks-I cannot let it run its course I have to work-when I do try to eat even a little bit the abdominal pain is excruciating& debilitating. I am starving and exhausted just plain worn out.
Dear- thanks for giving us the opportunity to advise you about medical problems. Bacterial gastroenteritis gives symptoms of diarrhea, vomit, fever, abdominal pain, all of them bringing the patient to a very sick state. However, your symptoms has been over 6 weeks, which requires more workup, including a colonoscopy for a direct visualization of your intestines to get a correct diagnose. Other possibilities as colitis , malabsorption syndrome ,lactose intolerance and gluten enteropathy should be considered. I hope that my advise has been helpful Dr.Sara
