What Are The Symptoms Of An Internal Head Injury In An Infant?
earlier I went to the store my baby was in the pouch I was carrying her. once I left the store I opened the door but I let it go real fast and tried to hurry up and go but the medal door hit her in the back of the head. I don t think it hit hard but it was a hit that she notice because after it hit her she cried but I was rubbing her head and she stopped crying. when I came in the house I checked the back of her head. I didn t see no broken skin or anything her head looked normal. she still was the same she was talking but now she s not cooing any more maybe I m just over reacting. she is quit she usually makes a lot of cooing and communication what scares me is she quite. she does still cry and when she cries she can still say mama she s 4 going on 5 months.
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your child.
As per your history it seems to me she is normal and according to situation, may be you are reacting little hysterical.
In case you think she is not moving her body properly, any of her hand or leg is not working with respect to other one properly or she is not well placed with her usual senses and unconscious you need to visit a child specialist.
You can also check her reflex how firm her grip is, how she moves her legs and arms if touched, if these things are normal there is no need to worry.
Hope my answer will help you and you can write to us further if you feel any need.
Regards Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
