last Saturday it was really hot outside and I did some work on the house that required allot of hammering with a heavy hammer; however, while using the hammer my arm became tired and my body was kind of weak as well. What really bothered me was the my thumb on both hands locked in a position that required my opposite hand to release. I had to pull my thumbs with the opposite hand so I just called it a day and took a long cold shower. Nonetheless, I had a terrible headache on the left side of my head all night long so I just ate some dinner and went to sleep. I felt a little better the next day and even better the day after. Being a diabetic I didn t want to take advantage of the fact that I may have experienced a heat stroke or worst yet a minor stroke. I ask a friend who had a few strokes in the past and she thinks that I may have experienced one myself. What is your outlook the episode that kind of scared me.

Dear Sir/ Madam,
Thank you for posting your query at healthcaremagic.com
In my opinion this definitely not a stroke, possibility of only a muscle fatigue.
I advice you not to worry much and if you still feel one sided weakness and general body weakness please consult the physician.
Hope consultation with physician will boost your confidence and if any abnormal clinical findings are seen, physician will divert it to concern specialist.
Please let me know if you need any further information on this. Will be happy to assist you.
With best wishes, Tehzib Saiyed (PT)
