I think I have chigger bites,...I went to the dermatolgist who was extremely dismissive- gave me 3 rx s and told me to stop scraching.......diagognosis I forget....basically excessive scratching and picking...not happy with his fancy office and dismissive attitude...I have tried everything! I need to SLEEP!!! i WAS JUST GETTING READY TO MIX UP SOME VICK S VAPO RUB AND SALT AND POUR MYSELF A HEFTY COCKTAIL i m going on 6 weeks I m going to try the home remendy vick s vapo rub and salt, then enjoy a cocktail thanks
If you have Chiggers bite then it can be common latch the person passing through the infected area. It is common in groups so if you have chiggers bite then you can notice groups of red very itchy bumps.
However, itching or scratching can cause infection so scratching should be avoided. Also, you should keep the area clean. You should wash the area with soap and water.
To stop the itch you can apply steroid ointment or Calamine lotion. You can do cool compresses to reduce inflammation and pain.
It can take about 1-3 weeks for the symptoms to get better and healing to occur.
