What Are The Symptoms Of A Blood Clot In The Leg?

Hi. I ve been 2 my doctors 5 days ago with a pinching effect in my calf, the pain travels up my thigh and in to my buttock. I was given pain killers and a tablet 2 take once a day for my platelets and was told the pain should ease, but the pain haven t seem 2 ease on when I m resting. I m concerned in case I have a blood clot in the leg but was told by the doctor that it didn t soundings a clot. Any idea of what it could be?

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. It does not appear to be blood clot in the leg.
2. Radiating pain appears to be related to lumbar or sacral vertebrae and could possibly be sciatica or lumbar spondylosis.
3. Get an X-ray of the lumbar region for evaluation. If you are able to lift one leg without bending at knee straight in lying down position with another leg in flat position, you do not have sciatica. It could be lumbar spondylosis. Meet your doctor to get X-ray done for further evaluation.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
