What Are The Symptoms Of A STD?

Hi, I had a three year relationship, my ex always shallowed but one day she had to run to the bathroom to spit it out, I never asked why, later on she had a very bad bacterial infection in her vagina, then we broke up, eventually I.noticed my cum was EXTREMELY sticky, like super glue, I am 33 yrs old, my semen has always been sticky (obviously) but never ever this much, then I had sex with a girl and the day after she got a bacterial infection, we thought it was because she went surfing and didnt shower, hours later we had sex and so that was what happened, she did the treatment and 10 days after we saw again, had sex and the infection came back, I am starting to believe its me and dont even want to have sex with anyone, does this extremely sticky semen mean I have an infection? Or even worse an STD??? Please help me

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is very possible that you have an STD, the only way to know for sure would be to get tested. Infections like chlamydia or gonorrhea could cause abnormal discharge from the penis, and men can have infections like trichomonas that can cause infections for woman. I would go to a clinic that checks for STDs or see a regular doctor and have your urine or discharge checked, and if confirmed you can be treated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Aaron Branch,
