My daughter, now 17,have symptoms that closely resemble ADHD. Biggest problem now is daydreaming and rank neglect of her studies that has led her to the bottom of the class and in a hopeless situation. She even play acts rock stars on guiter and hates us as we catch her in this neurotic charade and point out how she is damaging her future. She can't tolerate us, her parents and brother. She never cleans, arranges or organises her dresses, books, rooms or anything and keeps them in apalling condition.

There is definitely a genetic angle as a had (and still have) a lot of negative characteristics I see in her though not to such degree of severity. Is there any hope for her. I had taken her to two different psychologiests, but other than giving anti-depressent tablets which only makes her sleepier (already she is oversleeping, they did nothing.
