Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern.
It is common to experience some effacement of the cervix at this stage of the pregnancy as the baby descends and stations ready to be delivered. Dilatation of the cervix can lead to pain. You didn't mention why your doctor advised an early delivery. Monitoring will let you know the status of the baby and also the progress of the labor. If there is no detectable anomaly, everything should be fine. Wish you safe motherhood.
