What Are The Signs Of A Possible Concussion?

My three year old hit her cheek bone by her right eye two hours ago. Might be a bruise has a scratch she cried instantly. Cried all the way home i gave her a bath to cool her down cause she was sweaty and full of tears. While i was dressing her she throws up once only. She was sleepy the whole time i kepted her up for 90 minutes, then i let her sleep but i check on her every 15 minutes. I want to know if i should be concerned about a concussion.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your child seem time to be related to the trauma.

I suggest giving Tylenol in case of pain.

I also suggest using cold compresses in the injured area.

The hematoma will go away on its own.

No treatment is required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
