Hi,

My opinion is that your husband having multiple organ failure with low blood pressure. Acute kidney failure is due to very low blood pressure. Blood transfusion is done to maintained hemoglobin level and not to prevent kidney failure.

Your Husband needed intensive care management with Inotropic agents support to maintained blood pressure. Kidney functions normally if blood pressure maintained at normal range. blood requirements depends on level of haemoglobin.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pramod Kokare, General & Family Physician
