What Are The Side Effects Of Tri-cycle?

I am on a lite dose of tri-cycle birth control about a week ago i was at my flow week when i was abnormally heavy. I use tampax tampons and was out at the lake for a bit when i became very very itchy down there. I keep good hygien and never leave a tampon in longer then 5 hours, also i am not pron to yeast infections. I have been very horribly itchy for three days now an dhave no idea what it could be.

Hello,

Don't use tampons anymore because it can be an irritation or allergy related to them. Also, continue to rinse with baking soda to help a bit with itching. If it still continues you should do a vaginal smear.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
