What Are The Side Effects Of Taking Losartan, Atenolol And Lisinopril?

My doctor prescribed Losartan to replace either atenolol or lisinapril and I forgot which one and took all three. She meant to take me off one and I thought she said atenolol, but 12 hours after I stopped that my heartbeat went up to 142 until I took the atenolol. I guess she said to stop lisinopril. Hello,

Yes, she meant to stop lisinopril and replace it with losartan. Lisinopril is an ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme) inhibitor group of antihypertensive drug. Losartan is having similar properties of Lisinopril with better efficiency, efficacy and lesser side effects. So the function of Lisinopril will be well covered by losartan. Atenolol is a beta blocker. It reduces blood pressure and controls heart rate. So this can not be replaced by losartan. So you should continue losartan and Atenolol and stop Lisinopril.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
