What Are The Side Effects Of Taking Lamictal?

Hello, my daughters dr has prescribed a mood stabilizer lamictdal. Daughter has had severe side effects with previous drug abilify and she is very concern about how her body will react. Can you please describe most frecuent side effects for lamictdal? Thank you.

The common side effects of Lamictal are upset stomach, headache, blurred vision, stomach upset, constipation and urinary retention.
The serious side effects include skin reactions like steven johnson's syndrome.
If you notice skin rash, swelling of lymph nodes, sore throat, peeling of tongue/mucosa in mouth .stop Lamictal and report to your doctor as this is indicative of a serious reaction like steven johnson's syndrome.
