What Are The Side Effects Of Taking Estroven?

my doctor suggested taking estroven for menopause symtems. I got the kind for mood and memory which has black cohash. what are some of the side effects with this supplement. are there any medicines I should avoid while taking this. My doctor said it was safe which was over the counter but I worry about side effects with medicines. Thank you

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Side effects are negligible and mostly only with long-term use. With any HRTs (hormone replacement therapy) there is always careful monitoring, that should be conducted to look for any ill-effects excess hormone levels in the female body can cause. Regular mammograms, breast self-exams, blood hormone levels, pap smears, etc; once every 6 months should more than suffice.

Other than that, I would not really worry about the supplements you are on, your doctor was right, and they are quite safe.
