General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The headache and dizziness are some common side effect of rabies vaccine. However, paralysis and other neurological side effects are also reported but extremely rare.

The rabies vaccine is to be given as four dose on 0,3,7,14 days after exposure.

So if you are not previously vaccinated than you need additional three dose as well for full protection.

Hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
