What Are The Side Effects Of Lactase Capsules?

My doctor advised me to take lactate capsules for 15 days and then take granules. Capsules helped me a lot to increase my breast milk. Can I continue taking capsules? Do these lactare capsules have any side effect? What frequency I can take the same?

Hi,

Lactare tablets can be used once or twice a day for up to 2 to 3 months. But healthy diet should also be taken.Tablet alone cannot increase milk production. Lactare is a herbal supplement and side effects are usually rare. Any allergy to the contents of the drug should be ruled out before taking the drug continuously.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
