Hi
Welcome and thanks for choosing HCM for your query.
I appreciate your concern for the safety profile of Hydrocholorothiazide water pill.

The most common and important side effects of HCT include:

A fall in serum sodium and potassium levels
An increase in serum uric acid, blood glucose, and calcium levels
Erectile dysfunction and allergic reactions.

Hydrochlorothiazide is one of the effective drugs used in the treatment of hypertension, it enhances the excretion of excess of sodium and water from the body and thereby decreases the high blood pressure.
Since you have been using this medication for years, I think the side effects are minimal and tolerable.

There is no natural way to get rid of sodium and water sufficient enough to be used in the treatment of hypertension.

Hope your doubts are cleared.
Kindly rate the answer, if you are convinced.
