So you have been taking this metformin from before in the form of Galvus met and now you doctor has given additional dosage of metformin . So since you didn t had any side effects with Galvus met you will not experience any with Cetapin either . Cetapin by itself will not cause low sugars , but in combination with Galvus may cause if the dose if high . Whether the dose is high can be told if you can tell me your Blood sugar values when you were on Galvus Met only . Other side effects include Diarrhea , Nausea , Dyspepsia , Abdominal Pain , Indigestion , Lactic acidosis , Megaboblastic anemia , .. But as said earlier the chance of these side effects in you is less .
