General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the Primolut-N consists of norethisterone which is similar to female hormone progesterone. The regular use of Primolut N in females is known to control heavy menses in many clinical conditions.

However, use of Primolut N is contraindicated in pregnancy due to
- Increase risk of abortion
- Developmental defects as virilization in female fetus if administered during sexual development phase of embryo
- Abnormal vaginal bleeding
- Others
However, it is recommended to consult the indication of the Primolut N in your case at 9 weeks pregnancy with treating OBGYN.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
