What Are The Side Effects Of Pediacare Multi Cold Syrup?

My 3.5 year old son has had a runny nose and a slight cough. He has been pointing down his throat saying it hurts. He climbed up on the counter, opened and drank so Pedia Care Multi Symptom cold medicine for 4 year of age and up. We asked him how much he drank and he pointed to about 3/4 of the portion cup the syrup came with. It looks like about 3 doses. He is sleeping but is whining off and on. Not waking up, just a slight cry. He has a fever of 99.9 degrees. I honestly don t know how much syrup he drank. There was some spilled in the cupboard and sink. Suggestions? ER? Thanks Chad

he is sleeping because of the overdose of antihistamine content of the syrup. it is generally not very serious, but we advise to take to the ER immediately for checking of symptoms and risk factors, specially the patient being a child.
