What Are The Side Effects Of Paxil?

I am on the generic form of levothyroxin 137 mcg. I still am tired. I had been on 150 but it was lowered. I am also on generic paxil 10 mg. My mind is foggy and I don t remember things very well now at all. I just don t want to think very much. Could both of these be working to create this fog or just one of them? If I don t take the paxil then I become very anxious. What do you think?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You should have your thyroid function tests done to see if the values are within normal range. Low levels of thyroid hormone can sometimes be associated with difficulty thinking.

Paxil can sometimes cause drowsiness and dizziness in some persons but it is not known to cause confusion or difficulty thinking.
The combination of these medications is also not known to cause this problem.

If the thyroid hormone levels are normal then your doctor may need to look for another cause.
Additional tests may be needed.

I hope this helps
