What Are The Side Effects Of Nexplanon Birth Control Implant?

I had the Nexplanon Birth Control implant placed in my left arm a few weeks ago. Today I noticed that it moved to where the scar from where the incision is and now it is giving me a really bad pain. Is there anything that I should be worried about due to this issue?

Hi,
I understand your concern.
Migration of implanted Nexplanon is one of the side effect- may be due to Touching, itching or disturbing the implant. Still it's good that it is not expelled, still lies at the site?
In case yes- you can take ashort course of anti inflammatory pills ( Ibuprophen-paracetamol combination) along with antibiotic if there is pain.
In case it has moved out of incision- you need to reconsult the doctor inserting it. May you will need to remove it & put another implant.
In waiting period, use additional contraceptive ( condom).
Thanks.
