Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am using atleast 8 maftal spas tablets regularly every month for the past 15 years. Can you let me know if there are any side effects for this? I use this becuase of sever pain during my periods. If it is not suggestible, can you let me know if there is any other alternative to this problem?
Nausea, Vomiting, Indigestion, Dizziness, Dry mouth, Sexual dysfunction, Stomach ulcers and Blurred vision are some of the side effects associated with its use.
What dosage you are taking is higher and kindly reduce the dose as long term use can cause certain problems like stomach ulcers. You can take the medication only when the pain is severe and cannot be tolerated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
