What Are The Side Effects Of I-pill?

Had sex last night and the condom broke . It s the 10th day of my periods cycle . We are not planning to have kids right now. Is it safe to take an ipill? What would be the side effects? I am traveling for a wedding on the 10th followed by a vacation. Would it affect the plan? Is there any other option other than taking the pill?

Hello,

Let me tell you that every medicine has its side effects but we still take the medicines because advantages always outweigh the side effects.

You may experience some side effects such as irregular period, nausea, headache or weight changes.

Coming back to your main concern, you have hardly any option in your already tight schedule than to take the i-pill so take it and yes,it is safe.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
