General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Apo Methotrexate 2.5 mg contains methotrexate that is used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis. It belongs to the class of antimetabolite medications. Apo Methotrexate acts as an immunosuppressant and works by reducing the activity of body's immune system as well as slowing down the growth of skin cells.

Side effects of Apo Methotrexate are nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, upset GIT, indigestion, heartburn, anorexia, hair loss, pale skin, anemia, tiredness, dizziness, chills or fever, diarrhea, blurred vision, unusual bleeding, mouth sore, fatigue, headache, elevated liver enzymes, allergic reactions etc. These side effects are usually mild and will go away with the passing of time. But, if these side effects persist for long or bother you, then you should inform your doctor promptly for medical help.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
