What Are The Side Effects Of Advil?

Hi, Last week, while doing things outside on the house, well taking down the xmas lights, I decided that rather than use a stepladder, I used 3 buckets in a tripod to create a ladder . Anyhow, a bucket kicked out and I fell backward and quick. Just 2 feet, no time to react. Landed on my (L) between pelvis and ribs. I knew there would be pain involved but now that it s a week - not good. Without advil I have sharp pain in that (L) area of my side, extending around to my tummy at times. For a day or two no bowel movement, but that s OK, no blood. Urine same. At this point I know I need to see my doctor, which was never an issue, but a merger of practices has changed that. Well, as evident from your history it appears that you do not have any problem with your breathing, urine, bowel habits (although it is said that you attend the nature's call once in two days, that may be normal for you).

There is a strong possibility of muscle sprain that could have developed due to fall on your left side between the pelvis and the ribs.

Regarding the side effects of Advil (Ibuprofen), it is an effective NSAID drug used to treat various painful conditions including the muscle pain due to sprain.
Its use is associated with acidity related stomach upset, heartburn, bloating sensation and development of allergic rash in susceptible individuals.
These side effects can be minimized by taking Advial in presence of a drug like Omeprazole or Ranitidine.
