What Are The Risks Of Excessive Consumption Of Energy Drinks?

my husband drinks alot of energy drinks meaning redbull type last month he was rushed to the hospital and they did a paricadial effusion on him took out an half liter of fluid they ca'nt find the cause why this happened they just said he's real lucky to be alive i'm wondering can these sort of drinks give this problem

it isn't common. Literally more common to have this from a cold virus than energy drinks (viral infections can cause inflammation basically anywhere).
Irritation/autoimmunity, trauma to the area, infection including tuberculosis, hiv and tropical diseases, very low protein levels or liver failure or kidney failure can cause this, but often the inflammation happens and no cause is found and it can also go away again without knowing why.
