What Are The Reasons For Recurrent Pneumonia In Adults?

Hi, I frequently had pneumonia and am having symptoms of it oncoming again. I can feel my chest tightening i am using my inhaler and chest rub. I want to know what type of antibiotics I can take because I am allergic to penicillian. I also do not have insurance and I need to try to prevent full blown pneumonia. thank you. Sonya

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
Repeated pneumonia suggests low resistance / allergy . Though you don't have insurance.. you should go for investigations ( CBC/ Sputum culture & sensitivity/ X ray chest ) to know nature of problem followed by a chest physician's advise to get a full cure from the infection as well as prevention of further attack & general health building ... through any government hospital/ charitable hospital.
Thanks
