Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have feeling of something underneath tongue and slight chest pain are pointing towards a condition known as gastroesophageal reflux disease known as acid reflux which because of excessive production of acid in stomach. It could be due to underlying systemic pathology and tonsillitis as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take few preventive measures such as keep you bed high on head side. Avoid consuming large meals and take small frequent meals. Take mucolytic agent like ambroxol or decongestants. start with warm saline gargles and betadine gargles 3-4 times a day. For pain and swelling you should take ibuprofen or acetaminophen. Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics penicillin or amoxicillin. You should take steam inhalation as well. Avoid hot, sharp , spicy food substances and carbonated beverages. You should go for blood and throat swan examination as well. You should get ECG examination done to monitor cardiac functions and can start treatment accordingly.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
