What Are The Effects Of Immunotherapy On Fertility?
Hello, could immunotherapy (have been on the maintenance dose for 3 yrs) affect fertility? I have two children that I conceived what felt like on the first try. We ve bee trying for the 3rd for 1 yr and 3 months and nothing. The only thing that is different (except for age difference) is my allergy shots. And even age shouldn t be much of a factor - I m 34. Any ideas? thx Karina

Your concerns are true. Immunotherapy can interfere with fertility. Immunotherapy acts on the principle of suppression of body's secretory glands. This way it suppresses fertility.
If you want to go for third baby I would advise you to visit obstetrician and physician who has prescribed you immunotherapy. Fertility inhibition by immunotherapy agents is reversible. Don't discontinue without proper advise from doctor.
