What Are The Early Signs And Symptoms Of HIV?

I had a HIV antibody an antigen test done at two weeks post exposure. During the time of the test i was exhibiting symptoms like soar throat and dry mouth. It almost was like a summer cold but without the cough or sneezing since i took medication in order to prevent me getting them. Suffice it to say that result came back negative. I then had other symptoms related to my upper respiratory tract infection. I have a white coated tongue, which got me paranoid and made me look for answers on google, looking at google dont help because i got more paranoid. So I went to the clinic and did a OraAdvance rapid test at 3.7 weeks and that result were also negative. To alleviate my concerns they did a viral load test and those results are pending. Should I be concerned that maybe i have HIV ? I have also have diarrhea the past days and abdominal pain, and lack of appetite which again can be related to the URI/summer cold, but it doesn t stop me from worrying about this. Please advice. I am losing sleep over this.

Oradvance rapid test is negative but still you are waiting the result of viral load test.
Now almost 4 weeks passed in your case so get in Western blot test ( antigen antibody test enzyme immunoassay test ( EIA) highly sensitive and accurate test (>99.5 % ) .
For precaution take advance anti retroviral therapy ( ART) .
Hope this will help you.

hi
usually it takes longer time for the symptoms to appear after exposure. symptoms do not appear that much early.

you can go for RT-PCR( reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction ) which detects HIV at a very early stage.

please consult a nearby physician who can examine you thoroughly and prescribe some antibiotics which will decrease all your symptoms.

hope i have answered you
all the best
