What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy While On Birth Control Pills?

Hello, may i ask a thing about possible pregnancy? I have diabetes type 1 and take antidepressives pills. I also take the mini pills Azalia and use condoms and withdrawal method with my boyfriend. Now I took my 35th pill of Azalia, before that I was taking normal contraception pill (and after i stopped taking them, i had 7 days pause for bleeding and then started taking the Azalia). My last period was from 15 to 19th July. Since my last period, we had sex on 21/22th July (night), 29/30th July, 12/13 August and 13th August. I was taking Augmentin antibiotics, 1 to 2 pills from my last period for about once a two weeks. I was taking my birth control pills every day the same time. Two of the times mentioned above, we had sex without condom, but it was only about 2 or 3 seconds before we put the condom on. Is there a possibility that I could be pregnant? Thank you very much for answer and sorry for my bad english, it is not my mother tongue.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

When taken regularly and at the same time of the day throughout the schedule, both the combined oral pill and progesterone only pill have an efficacy of 99 percent. The intake of antibiotic, Augmentin you have mentioned does not affect the efficacy of the pills. The above is the same for antidepressants and diabetic drugs. In order to rule out pregnancy, you should consider a pregnancy test by 10 days of missed period.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
