Hi.my name's Kat I had removed my thyroid cancer(the left side) 7yrs ago and did radiation for the first year.. And second time was 4 month ago..everything was Normal which is a great news ..but my questions is The cancer will come back in the future?? Thank you so much Dr.
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have cancer in thyroid and you take radiation treatment. Recurrence depends on many factors like type of cancer, lymphatic, vascular and capsular invasion and treatment.
Most of papillary carcinoma has good prognosis and chances of recurrence are low after complete treatment. Still it depends on above factors. So please provide me histopathology reports so that I can help you further.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you very good health.
