General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Progyluton contains estradiol and norgestrel. The dose of estrogen and progesterone is quite low and so it does not prevent pregnancy. Hence it is not a contraceptive. This drug regulates your irregular periods. The chance of pregnancy is almost the same as before starting the drug.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
