What Are The Chances Of Fertility In Women With Polycystic Ovaries?

Hi! I m just wondering, my transvaginal result indicates that my ovaries are polycystic. does this mean that im not capable of bearing a child? it also says normal sized retroverted uterus, thickened endometrium and negative adnexa and posterior cul de sac. what does this mean? i haven t talked to my ob gyne yet.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is associated with increased difficulty with conception but it may still be possible to for this to occur.

Weight loss of any excess weight improves the chance of conception. There are also medications that may help eg metformin and meds to induce ovulation (clomid) if weight loss on its own is not enough.

I hope this helps
