What Are The After Effects Of Prednisolone Discontinuation?
Dear Doctor, I need your urgent advise on below issue. The doctor assigned to me a prednisolone for 40 gr (8 tablets) during the 4 days for acute bronchitis. I took it one day only (today for 8 tablets) but I am not will to continue, I will stop it. Is it dangerous to stop it after one day of taking the prednisolone at such high dose? Thank you, Alsu

Prednisolone is a steroid compound. It should not be stopped abruptly as it will have its profound side effects on vital organs of the body. Hence, you need to taper the dose and stop when you are taking.
Since you have taken only a single dose and stopped, it may not cause any adverse effects. Next time be careful when you are prescribed with such steroids.
