What Are The Adverse Effects Of Consuming Daxid And Epilex Chrono?

My daughter aged 15 for her excess anger related tantrums, internet addiction, laziness, overeating of junk food thereby leading to loss of interest and concentration in studies has been prescribed the folln medication.
Daxid twice
Rincon once
epilex chrono300mg once daily
we are extremely worried. Pl advise.

I can understand your concern. She is 15 years old and is showing tantrums, having problems of overeating junk food, laziness, internet addiction etc. All these have resulted in lack of interest of hers in studies. Most likely they have diagnosed her with some behavioural disorder of childhood. The medicines are prescribed to her to reduce her anger and impulsive behaviour.

Daxid is Sertraline and is an antidepressant drug. The drug is usually prescribed to patients of anxiety, depression. It is a safe drug and this should help her in reducing the symptoms.

Rincon is probably Risperdione (though I am not sure because you have written the brand name) and the drug is an antipsychotic drug. The drug has been added to her prescription for stabilisation of her mood and anger most probably. This will also reduce her undesired behaviours.

Epilex is Sodium Valproate and this drug will help to reduce her anger and will stabilise her mood. In my opinion you should start giving her these drugs as per prescription and she would improve.
