What Are Sore Throat, Headache, Dry Cough And Constipation Suggestive Of?

So the past few days I ve been feeling really run down, I ve had a headache and fatigue. I ve also had a sore throat. I thought it might just be the flu or a virus, something like that but my other symptoms went away. I havent been able to eat very much because my stomach is just in pain. My throat is still really sore. It s very veiny and there at tiny welt like lumps. I feel like I have to cough a lot but when I do, it just feels like I m dry coughing. I ve also been very constipated. My uncle has mesothelioma and is on chemo and medication and I might have drank something of his which I was told, after the fact, not to do. I was just worried that this might be something connected with that?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat, headache, dry cough and constipation which seems to be due to chest infection/ chronic upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles. You should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get paranasal sinus x-ray done along with throat swab test and blood tests and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should get pulmonary function test done. Take proper course of antibiotics. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids. Apply mist humidifiers in room. Your symptoms are exaggerating because of poor immunity of body.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
