What Are Effects Of Using PGF2alpha To Increase Skeletal Muscle Protein?

Hi Doc,I am researching and considering using PGF2alpha and/or PGE-2 and/or PGE-1 as a way of increasing skeletal muscle protein synthesis and/or decreasing catabolism resulting from resistance exercise. My question is simple, I suppose:What would you say are side effects that might be expected? In particular, I am concerned with neurological side effects. I believe there is a prostaglandin link w/ anxiety and/or depression although I am unclear as to their nature. Thank you so much! :)

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The side effects are usually metabolic profile with alteration in liver functioning, protein levels and sugar imbalances in majority of the instances. Drug dependency is a major concern over a long period of time. Do discuss the details further with your doc before taking it consistently.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
