Whas Causes Pain And Burning Sensation On Leg And Knees?

hi ,i am 62 and i take metformin for boarderline diabeties.at night ....EVERY night,when i lay down to sleep ....my feet hurt and they sting,It burns like they are on fire and it runs up to my legs to the knees.It is almost unbareable.i can t sleep and i am a bother to my husbands sleep ..Can you please help.thanks

Dear madam i can understand your concern.
i am very sorry for your condition.
The symptoms what you are explaining looks like diabetic neuropathy to me.
But This problem s little rare in early diabetes.
For patients visiting with this kind of problem i usually suggest them to undergo test like vibration perception and nerve conduction study.
Most of my patients are ab;e to get some relief from burning feet when thy used medications like lyrica 75 mg take once during bedtime along with that taking inj neurobion once weekly for a month.
Honestly, I don't diagnose you with this condition; but it's definitely worth evaluation in these lines since there are many matching symptoms. Please discuss with your treating doctor.
