Our 12 year old daughter was diagnosed with anal fissure 2 months ago. We have been treating it per GI doc with Miralax and Butt paste. Fissure has improved, however she has new set of severe radiating lower back pain down into legs and occ. shooting up to shoulders. These symptoms started after the diag. of fissure. Also her right side of mid back is slightly swollen and she will complain of pain in the kidney area. Bloodwork one month ago negative for inflamm. markers,CBC normal, kidney function normal. The pain presents very much like a Trigeminal Ner. pain, fleeting, sharp she literally will jump when the pain strikes. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks Tammey K
