Hello, Without examining you, my best guess is that you may have angioedema. It is a swelling of tissues that is common in the face. It can effect the lips and tongue. Angioedema can be painful or it can be asymptomatic - without pain. It has the potential to be very severe or disfiguring as you described. Angioedema comes from blood vessels leaking fluid into the tissues, which causes swelling. Urticaria, hives, is common in about half of the cases, but not yours. There are many images online that you can look at to compare to your symptoms. One of the first actions you can take is an anti-histamine. A common one is diphenhydramine, or bendryl. I would also recommend being examined so that your healthcare professional can rule out other diseases. Best of luck.
