General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

According to the symptoms as mentioned in your post, your mother is having features of Hypothyroidism.
The raised values of TSH further substantiates the diagnosis.
Management involves intake of supplementary Thyroxin preparations.
A high protein, low fat, low calorie diet should also be followed.

Regarding the issue of Arthritis, she needs to take analgesic- anti inflammatory preparations during acute attacks along with Glucosamine preparations.
Physiotherapy exercises will also be helpful.

So, kindly consult her treating doctor & discuss regarding the same.
Wishing her a good health.
Take care.
