hi i had unprotectedsex with my bf on 24th july that day my period's 1st day and then i take only unwanted 72 after 20 hr on 25th july & m not take any other precaution then i got heavy blooding & after 10 days my periods ends. but m still in so much tension ...is there is any chances to get preganant m so worried about this matter what to do my period date is coming but m still thinking if my period is not coming then....plz help me give me answer as soon as possible...

Hi,
Firstly, let me inform you that intercourse around the menstrual period does not cause pregnancy as ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of a menstrual cycle and as such there is no need to consume any emergency pills during that period. As the emergency pill contains excess hormone, the hormonal balance of the body gets disturbed and as such cycle disturbances and withdrawal bleed are common. Please see a specialist for further appraisal if you do not see your next period even after two weeks after the due date. Hope your query has been answered. Take care.
